What kind of questions are you asking yourself?
For example, when you were getting dressed this morning, were you thinking,
“What shall I wear today so I’ll be comfortable?”
Or “What can I wear that won’t make me look so fat?”
Or “What can I wear that will make me feel good about myself today?”
Each of these questions (as well as the countless other questions you could have asked) takes you down a different path in your mind and leads to a different outcome, in terms of what you pick from the closet as well as how you feel about yourself.
The quality of your questions determines the quality of your life.
You may not realize it but you are constantly asking yourself questions, big and small. From “What shall I wear?” to “What shall I do with my life?” These questions have a huge impact on how you feel and what you make of your life.
Yours for the Asking, Martha Beck’s column for the February issue of O magazine, offers 20 great questions that can transform your life. Some of my favorite questions from Beck’s list are:
What is my body telling me?
Are my thoughts hurting or healing?
Really truly: Is this what I want to be doing?
What’s so funny?
How do I want the world to be different because I live in it?
You can read more about these five as well as the other 15 questions at 20 Questions That Could Change Your Life.
