Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate Thanksgiving tomorrow.
No matter what holidays you celebrate, gratitude is a powerful, life-transforming emotion.
Today I am grateful for my health, Denny, my family, good friends, my new home, living on the water, my Island community, and so much more.

First and foremost, I am thankful to be 60, and to have had all the experiences, good and bad, that have made me who I am today. I am thankful for my partner, the 4-legged friends that enrich our lives, my kids and grandkids, that I have a job and a home. I am thankful to live in a place where the weather is wonderful at this time of year. And the list goes on and on; I could write a book!

Comment by Bonnie — November 29, 2009 @ 12:43 pmIt didn’t come easy! I spent so many years not being positive, but I love the new me. It was a very long birth process; I likened it to crawling through a dark tunnel and finally emerging into the sunlight. It’s harder to be positive when bad things happen; but it is still possible.
Comment by Ruth — December 1, 2009 @ 4:36 pmHi, Ruth! Could you tell us some of the keys that helped you shift to being more positive? This is so important and, as you know, can be hard to do.
