But “What the heck is an Emergency Life Tools List?” you may be wondering.
It’s a list of the tools and strategies that help you during difficult times.
Why a list?
Because – if you’re like me – when you’re buried in your feelings or lost in your mind’s turmoil, you don’t even remember you have any tools to help yourself, much less what those tools might be.
If you’ve got a list, when you’re in trouble all you have to remember is “Go to my list.” Then you can try things on your list until you find some relief from your suffering.
Everyone’s list of tools will be different. Here are a few examples from my two page list:
** Tapping (Emotional Freedom Technique, EFT)
** Call my coach
** Sing
** Dance
** Put my hand on heart and breathe into it
** Go to my bookshelves and find something that seems helpful at the moment
