Can There Be Anything Good About Turning 60?

by Bonnie

Turning 60. Can there be anything good about it?

Yes, believe it or not, there can.

I confess I’m still not jumping for joy at the number 60. And I am joyous about being alive.

To me the best thing about turning 60 is I’m still here. Alive. Healthy. Happy. With limitless possibilities for more joy in the moments, days, weeks, and years ahead.

Here’s how a few other women answer the question, “What’s good about turning 60?”

“Having more experience, knowledge, and wisdom.”

“Being able to choose what to do with my gifts.”

“Being alive and mostly well at 60 after a should-have-been-fatal aneurysm at 58

“I’m stronger, mentally and emotionally.”

“I have the rest of my life to do what I want, whatever that may be. “

“I’m smarter, more loving and accepting.”

“Having a lifetime of excellent experience to draw upon so that my decisions are wiser and more congruent with who I really am.”

“I’m peaceful in my own skin.”

“I accept myself and others more fully and completely.”

“I have grown into myself.

“I know who I really am now.”

“I’m less hard on myself.
