Hi, Katie! Thks for stopping by. You're right about the importance of keeping our balance. I read about standing on one leg at a time while brushing your teeth & have just started doing that. Doing the dishes -- that's another good time to practice!

Hi Bonnie, I've heard that it's a good idea to work on
maintaining healthy balance as well. Ways to do this
might include standing on one leg while doing the
dishes and incorporating one-leg stands in exercise
cool downs. Thanks for the tips!

All those 6 points are part of having healthy habits and healthy aging. There are two points that I like to add:
1) Visit your dentist once or twice a year. Ugly unhealthy teeth are very aging plus the bacteria in our mouths can contribute to heart disease and diabetes.
2) Take broad-spectrum high-quality supplements. I recommend a basic pack of antioxidants, multi-minerals, omega-3 and calcium/magnesium to provide the correct nutrients to our cells for perfect cell renewal.
I know that even though I eat good quality food, it is not enough to prevent many of the diseases that my peers are experiencing. For instance, I have a friend who lives in the country, rides horses and only eats organic food - she has arthritus and she is not even 50 yet. Another friend is now fighting breast cancer even though she had a annual mammogram.
Please make nutritional supplements (the best that you can afford)part of your and your family's lifestyle.
