Hi, Janet! Thanks for your comments.

My condolences on the loss of your dear husband. I can't imagine how difficult that must be.

Re how to celebrate your 60th. . . .Under the circumstances I can see it would be difficult to know what will be most satisfying. Perhaps some quiet moments listening to your heart wills how you what calls to you. Or asking God, angels, Love, whatever you believe in for guidance.

I'd love to know what you decide to do & how it turns out for you. Blessings!

I have always loved a party and will use any excuse
for one - Leap Day for example. What better reason to
celebrate than an extra day? My husband and I
celebrated our wedding anniversary and the day we met -
April Fool's Day! As I approach my 60th birthday I
am mostly just surprised that I'm not as old as I
thought I would be at 60. My challenge in planning
a celebration is that my husband died 3 years ago, and
I'll turn 60 just after what would have been our 40th
wedding anniversary. I've managed the interim events
by spending quiet time with family or treating
myself to special trips. But it's probably time
face this one head on. I've traveled a lot but never
been to Vegas, so I'm thinking of asking old friends
around the country to meet me there. But maybe not...
Hard to know what will satisfy the need.

Linda, maybe there are people who, if they knew your dream about a party, would help make it come true. Could you/would you ask some friends & family to throw that party for you? May your coming years be your best ones.

I have never had a party for any of my birthday's and
now that I am single it will probably be the same for
the "big 60". My dream would be to have someone throw
a big party with family and friends and let them all
know "THE BEST IS YET TO COME". Not the way I have
spent the last 40 years of my life. I want one day be
about me and not someone else.
