Starting a New Career at 60

by Bonnie

Is turning 60 (or later) the time for a new career? Why not?

Many people over 60 are now choosing encore careers, careers that allow them to use their skills and experience to make a difference in the world.

The Kauffman Foundation says that in the past decade the highest rate of entrepreneurial activity has been from people between 55 to 64 years old.

Could this be you? For inspiration and to get your creative juices going, read this article on  Starting a New Career  at 60.

Count me in! I left a 25-year+ career in admin and started a new career as a licensed esthetician just three years ago at the age of 56. In October I will be the big 6-0. I love what I do and look forward to each day at the spa. If someone had told me 10 years ago that I would be doing Brazilian Bikini waxes, I would have asked them what they were smoking! I also love sharing my expertise and recommending great skin care regimens to help men and women look youthful without looking fake. I am at my best when I am helping others to look and feel their best.
