Old age, believe me, is a good and pleasant thing. It is true you are gently shouldered off the stage, but then you are given such a comfortable front stall as spectator.

Ann, thanks for adding this. Confucius has a broader perspective than I. Or maybe he was just older when he said that.
Well, he does say “old” age. Of course, in his time 60 must have been very old as I’m guessing not many lived so long. I’m not ready to be only a spectator in life.
